Stelarc Installation Lecture

Life Conference and Banqueting - £5.00*

Throughout October, the Centre for Life will host the installation piece ‘Walking Head’ by artist Stellarc which examines the technological terrain that we now inhabit and the increasingly blurred distinction between the living and the dead, exposing biological bodies as inadequate and obsolete. In this unique lecture, Stelarc will present images, animations and video clips in a multi-screen presentation and demonstration.

All lectures start at 6pm. Events marked with * require advanced booking on 0191 243 8210, seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors open 45 minutes before the start of each lecture.
